Chinese Food
At the age of five, Lila Voo (pronounced Leela Vu) was first introduced to cooking by her Nai-Nai (grandmother in Chinese.) Lila loved watching Nai-Nai in the kitchen and many times she was even asked to help. Nai –Nai would say “go pick out a sauce,” and Lila would open her favorite cabinet which was full of all different types of sauces. There was chili sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce and even A-1 steak sauce! What amazed Lila the most was that no matter what sauce she chose, Nai-Nai would incorporate it into one of the dishes for dinner and it would be delicious!

Needless to say, Lila’s love for cooking grew! She incorporated the recipes and tips of her Nai-Nai while developing many of her own! She now cooks every night for her wonderful fiancé who is excellent at dishing out creative criticism.

Lila wants everyone to enjoy Nai-Nai’s secrets and to see just how easy and delicious Chinese food really is! Keep in mind Lila is always learning and growing so please e-mail her any comments, ideas or criticisms you may have. Enjoy!
